Media Troopers expands into Peru’s sports betting market in preparation for 2026 World Cup

(AsiaGameHub) –   Media Troopers has announced its entry into Peru’s regulated market, where it will offer sports betting and prediction market services in anticipation of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The company highlighted the 2026 FIFA World Cup—scheduled from June 11 to July 19 across the US, Canada, and Mexico—as a significant catalyst for increased online wagering activity, stating its goal is to assist operators in preparing for heightened demand.

Peru’s regulated market commenced in 2024. According to Media Troopers, the nation currently features over 60 online operators, and the regulatory body has issued 120 licenses since its inception. The company reported that Peru’s regulated market was valued at $2.7 billion in 2024, with forecasts indicating a rise to $7.6 billion by 2033.

Shmulik Segal, CEO of Media Troopers, likened Peru’s current stage to the nascent phases of regulated sports betting in the US. “Media Troopers is bringing mature-market expertise into Peru at precisely the moment the market is ready to scale,” Segal commented.

Media Troopers stated it will equip operators with marketing channels focused on soccer, provide access to publishers and affiliates, and introduce localized features aimed at boosting customer acquisition and engagement in Peru.
